Delta Does Good: How Delta Airlines Gives Back and Supports Communities

Delta Air Lines recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity International to build 10 new homes in Quezon City, near Manila. This initiative is part of Delta’s Force for Global Good program, which supports projects that create positive change both locally and globally. Volunteers for this build came from 16 cities across the United States and Canada.

“Delta has been serving Manila, Philippines, for more than 60 years, and we are strongly committed to the communities we serve,” said Vinay Dube, senior vice president Asia Pacific, Delta.

Delta volunteers worked alongside the future homeowners during construction, helping to create a safe, resilient community. The houses are constructed primarily from concrete block and are designed to withstand earthquakes, hurricanes and floods, offering durable, low-maintenance homes for the families who will live there.

Delta employees worldwide donate vacation time and personally cover part of their travel expenses to participate in these international builds. Beyond providing safe, affordable housing, volunteers gain a deeper understanding of the local culture and community life. Delta has supported similar Habitat for Humanity projects in countries including Chile, China, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Haiti, India, Japan, Mexico, South Africa and Thailand.
