Arrival/Check-In: The hotel was easy to locate on Ocean Drive, in a prime South Beach spot with a large, visible sign. Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet and escorted inside by the doorman. He accompanied my colleague and me to the front desk with our luggage. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient; check-in took under ten minutes.
Guest Quarters: The king guestroom at the Marriott Stanton South Beach felt spacious and thoughtfully designed. A simple, modern décor created a clean, airy atmosphere with white linens, light-toned furnishings and hardwood floors. A generous desk provided a comfortable workspace for business travelers, complete with a wheeled chair and a bright desk lamp. The private balcony overlooked the pool and the beach, offering pleasant views. The bathroom featured a glass shower with a large rainforest showerhead, and a powerful, unattached hair dryer was conveniently stored beneath the sizable vanity.
Services/Amenities: Dining options at the property include the beachfront Deco Blue Restaurant, where I enjoyed breakfast and an evening cocktail. For sweet treats, Dolcezza serves gelato, handmade chocolates and confections. A Starbucks is connected to the property for quick coffee and snacks. The spacious pool area opens to views of the beach and ocean, and food and drinks are available poolside and on the beach. Inside the hotel, guests can unwind at the spa or use the well-equipped fitness center for workouts.
The Experience: Marriott Stanton South Beach is well suited to both business and leisure travelers. Its location puts guests within easy reach of South Beach’s notable shopping and dining. Overall, the room was clean, well maintained and comfortably appointed. I appreciated the hotel’s understated, chic style and would choose to stay there again.
