‘Tis the season! Now in its 23rd year, The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa’s annual Festival of Lights returns on Nov. 27. This free, five-week celebration showcases one of the nation’s largest holiday light displays and draws more than 250,000 visitors each year. The festival begins with a Switch-On Ceremony, when nearly 4 million lights illuminate the property instantly, followed by a fireworks display.
Visitors can enjoy over 400 animated figures, visits from Santa Claus, the world’s largest man-made mistletoe, horse-drawn carriage rides, elf tuck-ins, fresh snow, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, an outdoor skating rink and family-friendly entertainment throughout the season.
This year the hotel is also offering seasonal culinary and spa experiences tied to the festival, such as the 12 Days of Holiday cocktails at 54° at Duane’s, gingerbread cupcakes at Casey’s Cupcakes, and the Savor the Season treatment at the spa.
