Arrival/Check-In: During an overnight stay in New York City, my former colleague Olivia Falcione and I stayed at the Trump International Hotel & Tower. Its prime Central Park location delivers remarkable views that set the property apart. The doormen were warm and efficient, guiding us inside to check in. The lobby is surprisingly modest in size and design compared with some luxury hotels, so I had expected something more grand. Check-in was swift, and soon we were headed to our executive city one-bedroom suite.
Guest Quarters: The view from our suite was unforgettable. Floor-to-ceiling windows created a nearly panoramic perspective of Manhattan. The suite itself was spacious and well laid out, featuring 1.5 bathrooms stocked with quality amenities; a living room with a desk and dining table; a full European-style kitchen; and a generous bedroom with a queen bed, television, dresser, armchair and a large closet. Every guestroom at the property includes a kitchen, which is a distinctive and practical feature for travelers who prefer self-catering or longer stays.
The hotel also offers the Trump Attaché program, which functions as more than a standard concierge or butler service. Attachés can assist with dining reservations, grocery stocking, personal shopping, arranging house cars and handling messenger services—services designed to simplify a guest’s stay and add convenience.
Shortly after check-in, an attendant arrived to make up the queen-sized sofa bed in the living room, ensuring the suite was ready for both daytime use and overnight guests.
Services/Amenities: Our brief one-night visit didn’t allow time to sample every amenity, but the property provides a wide range of offerings. Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten operates on-site dining, including the acclaimed Jean-Georges and the more casual Nougatine. The hotel also accommodates private in-room chefs, offers 24-hour room service and features an outdoor restaurant and bar, The Terrace.
The Trump Spa covers a comprehensive menu of treatments within a 6,000-square-foot facility, and the fitness center is open 24 hours a day. Meeting and event spaces take advantage of the scenic Central Park and city views, making the venue suitable for both social and corporate functions.
Location is a standout advantage: a brisk morning jog in Central Park was just steps from the hotel—literally about a 30-second walk from the front door—which makes the property especially appealing for guests who want immediate access to the park.
The Experience: In terms of services and amenities, Trump International Hotel & Tower covers the essentials and adds distinctive touches, from in-suite kitchens to the Attaché program and a variety of dining and wellness options. The combination of a central location, impressive room views and comprehensive guest services makes it a compelling choice for visitors seeking both convenience and comfort in Midtown Manhattan.
