Australia’s second voco property opened last month as voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley. The recently renovated estate offers an upscale retreat with 70 guestrooms across 70 acres of countryside, placing guests within easy reach of the Hunter Valley’s wineries, walking trails and nature experiences. The refreshed design introduces voco’s signature yellow accents, comfortable bedding and carefully selected artwork and textiles to create a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.
Dining on site showcases local produce and regionally inspired menus. Locavore Dining and Epoche Lounge Bar serve lunch and dinner, while The Conservatory offers high tea amid the rose garden. The property maintains its own vegetable garden and several beehives to support on-site kitchens and enhance the traceability of ingredients. Sustainability is a core focus: measures include plastic-free bedding, refillable large-bottle bath amenities and the use of farm animals to help manage organic food waste, all contributing to a lower environmental footprint.
Guests can enjoy a variety of social and leisure spaces across the estate. Facilities include tennis courts, a billiards room, an indoor heated pool and a well-equipped fitness center, providing options for active recreation and relaxed downtime alike.
“Guests have a revived appetite for bold, new experiences — and we know dining continues to be one of the leading reasons we choose to travel. The Hunter Valley is renowned for its exceptional food and wine offering, so it is tremendously exciting to introduce voco to the region to enhance our beautiful estate with a new, fresh and fun approach,” said Penny Crossley, general manager, voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley.
Located in the heart of wine country, the property caters to visitors seeking both relaxation and exploration. Its combination of regional dining, sustainable practices and varied amenities makes it a versatile choice for couples, families and small groups visiting the Hunter Valley. With easy access to cellar doors and local attractions, voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley positions itself as a convenient base for tasting tours, outdoor activities and leisurely stays focused on food, wine and countryside charm.
Maintaining a balance between modern comfort and rural character, the estate emphasizes thoughtful guest experiences—from locally sourced menus and outdoor garden settings to comfortable rooms furnished with signature touches. These elements aim to create memorable stays that reflect the local landscape and the culinary strengths of the region, while supporting environmentally conscious operations where possible.
