Great Golf, Legendary Golf, Spectacular Golf, Classic Golf and World’s Best Golf … Take Your Pick, Treetops Has It!
Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan offers 81 holes of championship golf across five distinct courses by renowned designers. Rolling terrain, dramatic views and carefully sculpted contours create a beautiful setting for world-class golf year-round.
The Masterpiece Course is the final design by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and lives up to its name. Jones called it his crowning glory. Its signature sixth hole drops 120 feet with panoramic views of the Pigeon River Valley — the very spot where he first coined the name “Treetops.”
The Premier Course is the only course in Michigan designed by Tom Fazio. It uses the rolling landscape to strike a balance between challenge and playability. When asked to pick a signature hole, Fazio simply replied, “All of them!”
Rick Smith shaped The Signature Course, which unfolds across high upland with undulating greens and wide, forgiving fairways that reward thoughtful play.
The Tradition Course is Rick Smith’s walking course, a tribute to golf’s origins. With traditional wooden pins and pennant flags, its links-style layout uses high ridges and hilltops to create subtle slopes while remaining very walkable.
Treetops also features The World’s Best Par-3 Course, a nationally recognized layout by Rick Smith. Regularly ranked among America’s top par-3 courses, it’s a perfect setting for a memorable short-game challenge.
Exceptional instruction at Treetops can quickly lower your scores. Rick Smith, recognized among the world’s top instructors, has worked with PGA Tour champions and amateurs alike. Whether you want more distance, greater accuracy or better putting, a variety of private, group and custom programs are available to help you improve and enjoy the game more.
