To mark the coronation of King Charles III, Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane has unveiled a “King of Green” installation in the hotel lobby that celebrates the monarch’s long-standing love of British nature and his commitment to environmental conservation. The display recreates a British woodland using living trees and plants, and once the exhibit concludes the plants will be replanted in the hotel’s gardens to ensure they continue to thrive.

“We are delighted to honour King Charles III’s deep passion for British nature,” said Lynn Brutman, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. “This installation reflects his ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, offers a meaningful way to commemorate the coronation, and creates a lasting memory for our guests.”
The installation underscores the King’s advocacy for conservation and sustainable practices. Plant varieties featured in the display include Hosta ‘Devon Greens’, Trollius chinensis ‘Golden Queen’ and other hardy species selected to evoke a natural woodland understorey. By replanting the whole installation after the show, the hotel is taking a sustainable approach that helps the plants continue to contribute to the local garden ecosystem.
The “King of Green” installation will be on view from May 3 through May 9.
