Norwegian has introduced a new in-flight entertainment option that lets passengers stream movies and TV shows during their flight. The service is available on the airline’s fleet of 60 WiFi-enabled aircraft and provides a selection of around 40 films and roughly 130 television episodes that can be viewed on tablets, smartphones and laptops.
Passengers access the content through the aircraft’s onboard WiFi and stream directly to their personal devices, eliminating the need to download files or carry extra equipment. The library includes a variety of genres to suit different tastes, and the service is designed to be simple and convenient for travelers looking to pass the time on board.
In addition to the entertainment rollout, Norwegian will begin a new non-stop route from London Gatwick (LGW) to Ibiza (IBZ) starting May 25. The seasonal service is scheduled to operate once weekly on Saturdays, providing a direct option for leisure travelers heading to the island.
These moves reflect the airline’s focus on enhancing the passenger experience with more onboard options and added route choices. By offering streamed content and expanding its network, Norwegian aims to make travel more enjoyable and convenient for customers across its WiFi-equipped aircraft.
