InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the addition of InterContinental Tbilisi to its global portfolio. The new hotel is scheduled to open in 2016 in the heart of Georgia’s capital and will offer 200 guestrooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge, a lobby bar, a spa, and both indoor and outdoor pools.
The property is designed to serve Tbilisi’s expanding domestic and international business market. Facilities will include a large multifunctional conference hall, a ballroom, multiple meeting rooms, and a conference center to support corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts currently operates 178 properties worldwide. The group has stated its goal of opening or having 100 hotels either operating or in the development pipeline across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States by 2020.
