The New York Times and Park Hyatt have launched a new collaboration called The New York Times TasteMasters, presented by Park Hyatt. This program brings together pairs of cultural innovators for live conversations moderated by journalists from The New York Times. In addition to the live events, a sponsored, specially curated series of content and complimentary access to NYTimes.com will be available at Park Hyatt hotels worldwide through spring 2016.
The series began on October 19 at Park Hyatt New York, where chef, restaurateur and food writer Yotam Ottolenghi joined Klaus Biesenbach, chief curator-at-large for the Museum of Modern Art and director of MoMA PS1. The conversation was moderated by Julia Moskin, The New York Times dining reporter.
After each discussion, guests are invited to continue the experience with a special edition of Park Hyatt’s Masters of Food and Wine, featuring menus that highlight locally sourced, in-season ingredients and pairings inspired by the conversation.
On November 23 at Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, Elizabeth Paton, The New York Times European Styles correspondent, will moderate a conversation between Sarah Lerfel Andelman, owner and co‑founder of Paris boutique Colette, and gallerist Emmanuel Perrotin. The final event in the series will take place on December 2 at Park Hyatt Tokyo, where Tomorrowland founder, president and CEO Hiroyuki Sasaki will appear with Jonathan Soble, The New York Times correspondent.
Starting October 26, extended TasteMasters conversations and in-depth Q&As with additional cultural leaders from around the world will be available through the Wi-Fi networks at all 36 Park Hyatt properties, continuing through spring 2016.
