Flights to Fiji: Affordable Tickets, Top Airlines & Travel Tips

Next year Fiji Airways will give travelers the option to buy round-trip flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Wellington (WLG), New Zealand.

This new connection becomes possible because Fiji Airways is launching non-stop service between Nadi (NAN) and Wellington. The addition of the Los Angeles–Wellington route increases weekly seat capacity between Fiji and New Zealand by 328 seats.

“We have worked with Fiji Airways for a number of years on the opportunity the Wellington market presents and are delighted they have committed to the region,” said Steve Sanderson, CEO of Wellington Airport. “The new service, which will add up to 34,000 seats to Wellington’s market, really demonstrates the demand and growth in international traffic to and from Wellington.”

Visitor numbers from the United States using Wellington as their entry point to New Zealand have risen by 35 percent over the past two years. At the same time, Wellington residents traveling to Fiji and the United States have grown by more than 20 percent.

Within New Zealand, Fiji Airways currently operates up to 13 weekly flights between Nadi and Auckland (AKL) and two weekly flights between Nadi and Christchurch (CHC). Capacity on the Christchurch route is planned to double next winter.
