GHM’s New Luxury Resort in the Maldives: Opening Guide

Luxury hotel group GHM has announced plans to open its first resort in the Maldives in 2016. Situated just a 20-minute speedboat ride from Hanimadhoo International Airport (HAQ), The Chedi Dhapparu will offer 90 villas and 90 hotel suites, each providing views of either a coral-reef lagoon or the open ocean.

GHM’s president, Hans R. Jenni, described the location as “absolutely spectacular,” noting that it aligns with the company’s philosophy of creating memorable, distinctive hotels. The new property is designed to combine refined style with the natural beauty of the Maldives.

The resort’s facilities will include a spa with 10 treatment rooms, a fully equipped health club, a club lounge, a beach club, a library and a cigar lounge. Guests will also have a choice of four food and beverage outlets, offering a variety of dining experiences to complement the island setting.

GHM is an international operator with existing and developing properties across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The company’s portfolio includes hotels and resorts in destinations such as Bali, India, Japan, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
