Air France Unveils New Paris Business Lounge at Charles de Gaulle

Air France has reopened a fully redesigned business-class lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Situated in Terminal 2, the refreshed space welcomes business-class passengers and Flying Blue Elite Plus members, offering an upgraded, hospitality-focused environment that emphasizes comfort, wellness and French cuisine.

The renovation is being rolled out in phases: the main, larger section is now open to guests, while a second, more intimate area is scheduled to open in July. The new lounge design reflects the airline’s broader strategy to elevate the travel experience with refined services and contemporary interiors.

Anne Rigail, Air France’s Executive Vice President for Customer Experience, describes the lounge as part of the carrier’s move upmarket. The redesign focuses on surprising customers with innovative offerings centered on wellbeing and gastronomy, creating a calm yet luxurious pre-flight environment.

Wellbeing takes center stage in several dedicated areas. An “instant relaxation” zone features comfortable loungers and mini-suites for passengers who need a moment of rest. A detox bar serves a curated selection of fine teas, providing lighter beverage options. For passengers seeking treatments, two private cabins are staffed by Clarins beauty professionals, and two private saunas are available for use. Multiple large, high-end shower suites are provided to freshen up before flights, combining function with spa-like amenities.

Dining has been redesigned with a distinctly French focus. La Table Gourmet offers an open kitchen concept where chefs prepare hot dishes on demand, creating a bistro-style experience within the lounge. A self-service area presents a rotating seasonal selection—casseroles, fresh salads, pastries and other dishes—that highlights regional flavors and quality ingredients. The beverage program includes a carefully chosen assortment of wines and Champagnes, curated to pair with the food offerings and the lounge’s overall culinary theme.

Technology and digital design are integrated throughout the space through partnerships with French tech startups. The entrance hall features an array of screens that produce gentle lighting effects to welcome guests. In the wellbeing area, a three-dimensional digital art installation shifts in shape, color and intensity throughout the day, providing a calming, dynamic visual experience. A simulated “sky” uses soothing light therapy techniques to create a sense of openness and relaxation, making time in the lounge feel restorative.

The lounge also includes a number of distinct zones designed for different traveler needs. Le Club is a secluded area for passengers seeking privacy and quieter surroundings. Le Petit Salon functions as a peaceful reading or working space, offering a low-key alternative to the main lounge areas. The At Your Service desk helps guests with practical needs—reservations for showers and saunas, seat changes, flight rebooking and other assistance—ensuring a personalized experience. Finally, an Air France shopping showcase displays branded items and lifestyle products for travelers who want to browse or purchase airline merchandise before departure.

Overall, the redesigned lounge at Terminal 2 aims to balance relaxation, efficient service and elevated dining. With spa services, refined gastronomy, digital ambiance and practical support from staff, the new space is intended to make the pre-flight period more enjoyable and restorative for Air France’s most frequent and premium customers.
