Airport Food Delivery in Dubai: Fast In-Terminal Meal Service

Travelers departing from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 (DXB) can now have meals delivered straight to their departure gates through a new partnership between Dubai Airports and Deliveroo.

Called DeliverooDXB, this is the first airport delivery service in the region. The program lets passengers order food from participating airport vendors via the Deliveroo app, the Deliveroo website, or a quick link available on DXB’s complimentary WiFi. Dubai Airports says deliveries will arrive at gates “within minutes of ordering,” offering a faster and more convenient option than queueing at restaurants or carrying trays through security.

Eugene Barry, Executive Vice President of Dubai Airports, described the rollout as part of the airport’s wider effort to reinvent the travel experience through innovative services. He noted the partnership with a global delivery platform brings greater convenience to customers and enhances the overall passenger experience.

At launch, DeliverooDXB serves passengers departing from the A gates in Terminal 3. Dubai Airports and Deliveroo indicate the service could be expanded to additional gates or terminals in the future as demand and operational considerations allow.

This initiative aims to streamline mealtime for travelers, especially those with limited time between arrivals at the terminal and boarding. By combining the airport’s connectivity with an established delivery network, passengers can select from a variety of on-site dining options and receive their orders without leaving the gate area.

DeliverooDXB also reduces the need for passengers to carry food through busy concourses, and can be especially helpful for families, business travelers, and anyone facing tight connection times. Orders placed through the app include estimated preparation and delivery times, and the service is designed to accommodate typical airport security and boarding procedures.

Dubai Airports and Deliveroo emphasize that the service operates within airport safety and operational rules, with delivery staff following specific protocols to ensure smooth handoffs at the gate. As the service grows, travelers can expect updates on participating outlets and any expanded coverage across DXB.
