Air Canada is launching several new non-stop routes between major Canadian cities and the continental United States, expanding its network from Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary. Beginning in May and continuing through June, the carrier will begin service from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Salt Lake City International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport. Montreal Trudeau International Airport will gain non-stop flights to Denver International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston and Philadelphia International Airport. From Vancouver International Airport, Air Canada will add non-stop service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport. Calgary International Airport will see a new non-stop connection to San Francisco International Airport.
Later in the year, Air Canada plans to introduce seasonal non-stop service from Vancouver to San Diego International Airport for the summer season, as well as year-round non-stop flights from Calgary to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
These new routes strengthen Air Canada’s position as one of the largest providers of direct flights across North America. By increasing non-stop options to major U.S. cities, the airline aims to make travel more convenient for passengers and to highlight Canada as a practical stopover for travelers connecting between the United States and international destinations. The new services will be operated using a mix of aircraft across Air Canada’s fleet, including regional flights via Air Canada Express and services in partnership with Star Alliance members where applicable.
The expanded schedule offers travelers more direct choices for business and leisure travel, shorter total travel times, and easier connections for onward international travel. Passengers can expect a variety of frequencies and aircraft types tailored to route demand, with seasonal adjustments for routes such as Vancouver–San Diego. As always, travelers should check schedules and availability directly with the airline when planning trips to ensure the most up-to-date information.
