There are several notable hotel openings and major renovations taking place this summer across the country, from new Pacific Northwest properties to large-scale updates in other key markets. Below are the highlights of what to expect in the coming months.

Provenance Hotels will open Dossier, a 205-room hotel in downtown Portland, in August. Designed to evoke the feel of a private club, Dossier’s guest rooms will feature iconic photography by Slim Aarons and finishes that blend classic style with modern comfort.
In November, Provenance will also debut Hotel Theodore in downtown Seattle. The 151-room property, designed by Susan Marinello Interiors, aims to offer an urban retreat that reflects Seattle’s creative energy. The hotel’s interiors will display a curated collection of artwork celebrating the city’s vibrant culture.
Also opening this summer is Hotel Californian, a luxury property inspired by Santa Barbara architecture and lifestyle. The hotel will include a Moroccan-influenced spa, an exotic relaxation lounge and a modern fitness center, all designed to deliver a refined, resort-like experience in a coastal setting.

Renovations
Hotel Preston, located near Nashville International Airport, is undergoing an extensive renovation this summer. Updates include a new restaurant, refreshed lobby, a backyard area with a pool and renovated guestrooms. The property emphasizes art-filled public spaces and flexible guest amenities. Guestroom work is scheduled to finish this fall, with refreshed public areas opening later in the winter season.
This month, The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago is unveiling a comprehensive renovation that transforms its public and private spaces. The update includes a redesigned lobby, new restaurant and bar concepts, an upgraded spa, refreshed meeting spaces and renovated suites. Situated on the Magnificent Mile, the revitalized hotel enhances access to Chicago’s cultural attractions, shopping and dining scene.
