Hilton Unveils New Brand for Iconic Paris Landmark

Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to rebrand the historic Concorde Opéra hotel in Paris as part of its Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio. Situated in the elegant 8th arrondissement, the 124-year-old property will undergo an extensive renovation before reopening as the Hilton Paris Opéra in late 2014. The renovation will preserve the building’s architectural heritage while updating guest rooms and public areas to meet contemporary hospitality standards.

Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, noted that Paris’s architectural and cultural legacy contributes to its status as a premier global destination. He said the company is pleased to introduce a Hilton hotel of exceptional quality in this key Paris neighborhood. The redeveloped hotel will feature 266 guestrooms and suites, an executive floor with a dedicated lounge, multiple food and beverage outlets, and generous meeting and event facilities designed to serve both leisure and business travelers.

The conversion to the Hilton brand reflects the company’s strategy to expand its presence in major city centers and to invest in properties that combine historic charm with modern amenities. The project aims to blend the Concorde Opéra’s classic Parisian character with Hilton’s service standards, creating a comfortable and refined stay for guests.

Throughout the renovation, special attention will be given to preserving the building’s original features where possible, while upgrading infrastructure, guestroom technology, and public spaces to enhance comfort and functionality. The addition of contemporary dining options and flexible event space is intended to attract a wide range of visitors, from international tourists to local business clients.

The Hilton Paris Opéra will offer accommodations suitable for varied traveler needs, from standard guestrooms to spacious suites, along with an executive floor that provides privacy and exclusive services for business travelers. Meeting and event planners will find well-appointed spaces for conferences, receptions, and private functions, supported by modern audiovisual capabilities and professional event services.

Hilton’s rebranding and renovation of the Concorde Opéra signal a commitment to preserving Parisian heritage while delivering updated hospitality experiences. The reopening in late 2014 is expected to add a high-quality, centrally located option to the city’s hotel offerings, combining historic ambiance with the reliability and amenities associated with the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
