Andaz Wall Street has opened its signature restaurant, Andaz Kitchen & Bar, led by executive chef Pietro Consorti. The new dining venue is part of a multi-phase renovation at the hotel and focuses on international fusion cuisine that reflects the diverse flavors of New York City.
Chef Consorti trained in Milan under Michelin-starred chefs before joining Hyatt properties in the United States, including a tenure at the Hyatt Regency Louisville. His background blends classical European technique with global influences, which informs the restaurant’s evolving menu.
The Andaz Kitchen & Bar menu draws on Italian, Caribbean, Asian, and American traditions, with rotating daily specials highlighting destinations such as Jamaica, Italy, and Vietnam. The intent is to present authentic flavors while adapting them to a contemporary dining context.
For lunch, guests can choose from soups and salads or handmade pastas. Standout dishes include ravioli filled with ricotta and anchovy, finished with roasted red pepper and Parmigiano Reggiano, and a Kentucky-inspired bourbon mash risotto featuring roasted corn, barley, malt, blue cheese, ash, and saba.
Evening service expands into sandwiches and generous main plates. Menu highlights range from Jamaican-braised oxtail to Filipino-style chicken adobo, alongside other globally influenced entrees. Small plates designed for sharing—such as lacquered spare ribs and stuffed yellow plantains—offer a communal dining experience. Desserts include traditional flan de leche and a New York-style cheesecake.
“Andaz Kitchen & Bar embodies the cultural melting pot of New York, featuring authentic ingredients from a variety of international cuisines and cultures,” said chef Consorti. “Diners will taste a dish and know they are getting a true representation of that cuisine. I will not compromise on flavor and ingredients based on convenience — everything I put into my dishes is sourced directly from the country it is from. I believe in simple yet flavorful dishes that respect tradition and are infused with love. I am passionate about what I do and I look forward to sharing that with those who come to dine at the restaurant.”
The restaurant’s approach emphasizes ingredient integrity and culinary respect for origin, aiming to deliver clear, authentic tastes without unnecessary complexity. With a menu that changes regularly, Andaz Kitchen & Bar positions itself as a destination for travelers and locals seeking globally inspired, thoughtfully prepared dishes in the heart of the financial district.
