Loews Hotels presents “Flavor by Loews Hotels,” a brand-wide culinary program created with local artisans and independent food and beverage producers. The initiative invites guests to sample authentic tastes from each destination by featuring specialty products sourced from neighborhood partners throughout the chain.
Jensen’s Old Fashioned Smokehouse
Rolling out nationally this year, the program spotlights indigenous food and beverage products on menus across the Loews portfolio. By elevating local purveyors and artisan brands, Loews is among the first hotel companies to formalize neighborhood partnerships at this scale.
Developed at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, the concept centers on reflecting the cultural and culinary identity of each location. In Miami, for example, offerings include local favorites such as Azucar Ice Cream, Zak the Baker and Miami Club Rum. After a successful launch in Miami, Loews is extending similar locally driven experiences to properties across the country.
“Each Loews Hotel has curated Flavor partners that not only are 100 percent unique to that destination but also seamlessly integrate into the food and beverage experience of that hotel,” says Ken Harvey, executive chef at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. “In Tucson, our cuisine pays homage to the Southwest’s Mexican and Spanish influences, and we sought out the area’s most beloved purveyors to reflect that heritage.”
At Loews Hotel 1000 in Seattle, menus feature smoked salmon from Jensen’s Old Fashioned Smokehouse. The hotel also partners with family-owned Grand Central Baking Company to supply special pumpernickel used in smoked salmon rillettes, creating locally rooted menu items that resonate with guests and residents alike.
In Nashville, guests at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel can enjoy Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream and Pickers Vodka from SPEAKeasy Spirits. These local beverages are offered on tap and highlighted through monthly Craft of Draft cocktail specials at the hotel’s Mason Bar, emphasizing seasonal creativity and community collaboration.
El Machete Hot Sauce
At Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, guests can sample El Machete Chili Sauce, a handcrafted, small-batch hot sauce produced locally by owner Oscar Ochoa. The selection showcases the kind of artisanal, region-specific products the program promotes.
Loews Boston Hotel features Little G’s Ice Cream, a locally made ice cream served at the hotel’s Precinct Kitchen and Bar, offering visitors a sweet, neighborhood-made treat as part of their stay.
“Flavor by Loews Hotels goes beyond the farm-to-table trend of highlighting native ingredients; we offer guests celebrated, locally known products from resident artisans right inside our hotels,” said Mark Weiss, senior vice president of food and beverage, Loews Hotels & Co. “By partnering with the best bakeries, smokehouses, distilleries, breweries and juice shops, our hotels become active participants in their local scenes while helping to nurture and support hometown businesses.”
The program is designed to deepen guests’ connection to place through food and drink, providing curated, authentic tastes of each destination without leaving the hotel. Menus, special events and rotating features reflect ongoing collaborations with local makers and help introduce visitors to regional flavors they might otherwise miss.
Guests interested in learning which local culinary experiences are available at each property can explore options through official Loews channels and inquire directly at hotel front desks and on-site restaurants for current Flavor offerings and seasonal specials.
