Europa-Park in Rust has taken the top spot in a recent survey of Germany’s most-visited attractions, dethroning the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle. This vast amusement complex combines high-thrill rollercoasters and family-friendly rides with themed lands such as Adventure Land, Minimoy’s Kingdom and Grimm’s Enchanted Forest. Visitors also enjoy international-themed zones, ice shows and a packed schedule of live performances that together make Europa-Park a year-round destination for families.
Neuschwanstein Castle remains a must-see and holds the number two position. Located in southern Bavaria, the castle was commissioned by King Ludwig II and incorporates design elements inspired by Wartburg Castle alongside mythic motifs drawn from Richard Wagner’s operas, particularly Parsifal. Inside, lavishly decorated rooms reference many of Wagner’s works, creating the romantic, storybook atmosphere that draws millions of visitors each year.

Erected between 1789 and 1791 at Pariser Platz, the gate has evolved into a powerful symbol of Germany’s history and reunification. Its classical design and central location make it a focal point for visitors exploring the capital.
