United has opened its newest Polaris business-class lounge at Los Angeles International Airport. Designed to reflect its Southern California setting, the LAX lounge showcases local artwork, regional culinary offerings and a modern design that ties into the destination. Located in Terminal 7 between Gates 73 and 75A, the lounge is part of United’s broader $573 million investment in Terminal 7 improvements.
“Los Angeles is one of United’s most important gateways, particularly to Asia and Australia, and this lounge provides our customers with a best-in-class experience before they board their flights, especially for those customers with late-night departures and early-morning arrivals,” said Janet Lamkin, president, California, United. “We continue to expand our presence in Los Angeles, connecting customers from all over California and the U.S. to our global network. The addition of the United Polaris lounge is yet another way we provide customers with the best possible travel experience at LAX.”
The 12,000-square-foot lounge offers seating for 140 guests and a wealth of power options, including 272 electrical outlets and 120 USB ports. Guests can take advantage of luxurious shower suites, private daybeds for rest between flights and a full-service dining experience that complements the lounge’s Southern California theme.
As the fifth Polaris lounge location, the new LAX facility expands United’s network of premium airport spaces designed for long-haul and international travelers. The Polaris concept focuses on elevated comfort, privacy and dining, giving passengers a dedicated environment to relax, work and refresh before departure. With this addition, United reinforces its commitment to improving the travel experience for customers transiting one of its busiest West Coast hubs.
