Delta Introduces New Summer Seasonal Flights and Routes

Delta Air Lines will resume expanded summer service to Montana beginning June 22, offering multiple weekly flights between Atlanta (ATL) and several Montana cities, plus seasonal service from Los Angeles (LAX) to Bozeman (BZN). The carrier’s schedule includes three weekly roundtrips between Atlanta and Bozeman, two weekly roundtrips between Atlanta and Kalispell (FCA), and Saturday-only service between Atlanta and Missoula (MSO). In addition, Delta will operate a Saturday flight between Los Angeles and Bozeman.

Aircraft deployment varies by route. Delta plans to operate the Atlanta–Bozeman, Atlanta–Kalispell and Atlanta–Missoula sectors with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, providing single-aisle mainline service on those routes. The Los Angeles–Bozeman flights will be operated by Delta Connection partner SkyWest Airlines, using a 76-seat, two-class Bombardier CRJ900 regional jet. For select summer departures, Delta will also schedule Boeing 757 equipment on returning Atlanta–Bozeman flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while Atlanta–Kalispell return trips will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Saturdays.

This seasonal network restores popular leisure and connecting options to and from Montana, supporting tourism and giving travelers more choices for direct service from two major West Coast and Southeastern hubs. By combining mainline 737 and 757 aircraft with SkyWest’s CRJ900 regional jets, Delta aims to match capacity to demand across these markets, offering both coach and premium seating options on longer-haul segments.

Passengers planning summer travel to Montana should check Delta’s schedules and booking channels for exact flight times, aircraft type and seat availability, as frequencies are seasonal and may be adjusted based on demand. Travelers connecting through Atlanta and Los Angeles will benefit from Delta’s hub networks, which provide onward connections across the U.S. and internationally. Operational details such as baggage allowances, onboard services and SkyWest-operated flight policies can be found directly through the airline at booking or check-in.

In summary, beginning June 22 Delta’s summer schedule will include:

  • Atlanta (ATL) – Bozeman (BZN): three weekly roundtrips, primarily operated with Boeing 737-800; returning service on Wednesday and Saturday may use Boeing 757 equipment.
  • Atlanta (ATL) – Kalispell (FCA): two weekly roundtrips, operated with Boeing 737-800; Saturday returns noted.
  • Atlanta (ATL) – Missoula (MSO): Saturday service, operated with Boeing 737-800.
  • Los Angeles (LAX) – Bozeman (BZN): Saturday service, operated by Delta Connection partner SkyWest Airlines using a 76-seat two-class CRJ900.

These seasonal routes are intended to support leisure travel to Montana’s destinations during peak months and to provide additional connectivity for customers flying through Delta’s larger networks. Be sure to confirm flight schedules and equipment before travel, as seasonal operations can change.
