Leading Hotels of the World Reveals New Luxury Hotel Additions

Leading Hotels of the World has welcomed eight distinguished properties to its collection, each representing exceptional luxury, unique history and high standards of service.

Le Mount Stephen in Montréal opened in May and combines historic charm with modern luxury. Part of the hotel occupies the restored George Stephen House, the 19th-century mansion built by the first president of the Canadian Pacific Railway, while an adjacent tower contains 90 guestrooms and suites. All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and upscale amenities, creating an elegant urban retreat in the heart of the city.

The Bürgenstock Hotel officially reopens on Aug. 28, set on a promontory overlooking Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps. As the centerpiece of the historic Bürgenstock resort, which has hosted celebrated guests since 1873, the hotel offers expansive spa facilities, 12 dining venues and a golf course. Its spectacular natural setting and extensive on-site offerings make it a premier destination for relaxation and recreation.

In Greece, the Lesante Blu Exclusive Beach Resort opened in May as an adults-only escape with 65 rooms, each offering unobstructed sea views. The property emphasizes privacy and refined service, with private pools, elevated dining options and helicopter transfer services available for guests who wish to explore nearby islands.

Venice’s Palazzo Vejart Luxury Hotel reopened last year after a five-decade closure. Located on the Grand Canal, this intimate hotel comprises 18 rooms and suites that showcase restored period details and authentic Venetian design, providing a discreet and culturally rich base for exploring the city’s waterways and historic sites.

The Gran Meliá de Mar on the island of Mallorca is an adults-only resort offering Mediterranean views from every room and suite, each with a private balcony. The hotel features four dining venues and a luxury spa, positioning it as a tranquil seaside option for couples and discerning travelers.

On St. Isaac’s Square in Saint Petersburg, the Lotte Hotel St. Petersburg enjoys a prominent location and a distinctive history: part of the building once served as a mansion associated with John Quincy Adams, the sixth president of the United States. The hotel offers 150 rooms reflecting both modern and classic design sensibilities, alongside seven suites and thoughtful guest services.

Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li is slated to open next month within a conserved neighborhood of 1930s shikumen homes. The property’s layout preserves 22 rows of two-story houses and includes 55 three-level villas, blending local architectural heritage with contemporary luxury. The hotel is also expected to house the only Mainland China restaurant by three-Michelin-star chef Pierre Gagnaire, adding a notable culinary draw.

Finally, Signiel Seoul opened this spring in Gangnam within the Lotte World Tower, one of the tallest skyscrapers worldwide. Guestrooms provide panoramic skyline views, and the hotel features dining from Michelin-starred chefs and what is reported to be the country’s largest Champagne collection, offering sophisticated dining and social experiences high above the city.

Together, these eight additions expand Leading Hotels of the World’s portfolio with properties that combine historical significance, architectural distinction and contemporary luxury—appealing to travelers seeking memorable stays across Europe, Asia and North America.
