Constructed for the 1958 World Fair and emblematic of mid-20th-century optimism, the Atomium is one of Brussels’ most popular attractions. From the top sphere visitors can see as far as Antwerp on a clear day. At night, all nine spheres are illuminated by 2,970 LED lights, creating a striking skyline feature.
