3 Exciting Restaurants Opening in London This Summer

It’s getting harder to choose where to eat in London this summer as three new dining destinations open their doors. Each venue brings a distinct concept and menu—ranging from elevated Indian cuisine to inventive bar dining and an immersive beer-and-tapas experience—making them strong contenders for summer outings in the city.

Somerset House Terrace Bar with San Miguel returns for its fourth season, refreshed with a tapas menu created by Omar Allibhoy, the founder of Tapas Revolution. The menu embraces Spanish flavours and ingredients—think Iberico chorizo, Cecina smoked beef, Manchego cheese and stone-baked flatbreads inspired by Valencia and Catalonia—designed to pair beautifully with a cold beer. San Miguel is also offering a program of bookable immersive experiences, from live music sets to interactive workshops, and will recreate a slice of Ibiza with Casa San Miguel: a finca-style pop-up filled with bright florals, warm lighting and authentic island décor. The Terrace Bar remains an ideal spot for relaxed summer evenings, informal gatherings and tasting small plates with friends.

Bar Antoine

Bar Antoine, opened by Michelin-acclaimed chef Yannick Alléno alongside culinary collaborators Michele Lombardi and Ivan Arena, complements the fine dining of Pavyllon London and the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. The bar’s menu focuses on refined, ingredient-led plates: highlights include Antoine’s Burger served in a light, crisp bun with teriyaki beef, delicate shiso leaf tempura finished with caviar, and flavourful Karaage fried chicken. Drinks receive equally careful attention with classic and signature cocktails—from espresso martinis and Bloody Marys to novel creations designed to elevate each course. Bar Antoine also introduces Allenotics, a range of house-crafted tonics featuring unusual flavor profiles such as beetroot and aromatic citrus, to add depth and contrast to the cocktails.

Masala Zone

Masala Zone expands London’s Indian dining scene with a new restaurant in a historic building beside the famous Eros statue at Piccadilly Circus. The menu blends street-food energy with regional classics: expect sprouted lentil bhel, vada pav sliders, a selection of regional curries and traditional thalis, alongside Indian sweets like kulfi and Gujarati shrikhand. Cocktails and drinks are given a distinctive twist, with innovations such as chai-infused Negronis and almond sours lifted by rose and cardamom notes, plus a curated wine list to balance the menu’s spices. The dining room is dressed in rich furnishings, plush banquettes and striking light fixtures, creating an atmospheric setting for meals. For private events, The Leopard Room seats up to 32 guests, offering an intimate space for celebratory dinners or business gatherings.

Together these openings offer something for every summer mood—light tapas and beer on a riverside terrace, inventive bar dining with elevated snacks and cocktails, or vibrant Indian flavours in a landmark Piccadilly location. Each concept brings its own personality to London’s restaurant scene, giving diners fresh reasons to explore the city’s culinary landscape this season.
