A Provençal-inspired estate retreat arrives in Mallorca this August, marking Annua Signature Hotels’ first property on the island. Nestled in the inland village of Sencelles, Son Xotano is a careful restoration of a 12th-century estate, reimagined as an intimate hideaway with just 22 guestrooms.

Opening on August 1, Son Xotano preserves the estate’s original character—thick stone walls, shaded patios and sunlit terraces—while interpreting those elements through a Provençal lens. The restoration emphasizes calm, authentic materials and an understated elegance that complements the rural Mallorcan landscape.
The accommodation comprises 22 rooms, including 14 suites, each appointed with handcrafted ceramics, reclaimed wood furnishings, earth-toned linens and textured plaster finishes. These design details create warm, tactile interiors that reflect both local tradition and Provençal influences, providing a relaxed, residential feel.

Gastronomy sits at the heart of the Son Xotano experience. The culinary program focuses on seasonal, terroir-driven dishes that highlight produce sourced from nearby farms and the estate’s own grounds. Dining options include meals beneath vine-draped pergolas, poolside service and a unique grill restaurant housed within a restored, centuries-old wine center—each setting designed to showcase fresh, regionally inspired cuisine.
Wellness is woven into the estate’s offerings through Spa Xotano, which centers on gentle rituals and opportunities for reconnection. Treatments range from outdoor and in-room massages to guided meditative nature experiences and evening stargazing sessions, all intended to foster calm and reset the senses.
Son Xotano also caters to celebrations and events, providing spaces for weddings, intimate gatherings and larger destination occasions. Options span open-air ceremonies beneath olive trees to receptions in the vaulted spaces of El Celler, allowing hosts to tailor events to the estate’s historic and scenic character.

Son Xotano expands Annua Signature Hotels’ presence in Spain; the group already operates properties in Lanzarote and Menorca, and this Mallorcan retreat continues its focus on restorations that celebrate place, provenance and thoughtful hospitality.
