Shaza Hotels Expands Middle East Portfolio with New Openings

Shaza Hotels has announced further expansion of its five-star portfolio in the Middle East with newly signed properties in Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The group plans two major openings: Shaza Amman near Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Jordan’s largest airport, and Shaza Jeddah in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea hub.

Shaza Amman, scheduled to open in 2014, will offer 203 guestrooms and suites designed for both leisure and business travelers. The property will feature a full-service spa, an infinity pool, a signature restaurant, and a ballroom capable of hosting up to 700 guests. The hotel’s location close to the airport will provide convenient access for transit passengers and international visitors while supporting Amman’s growing business and tourism sectors.

Shaza Jeddah, expected to open in early 2017, will include 140 guestrooms and suites and will showcase a dramatic three-story lobby. The hotel will house a spa, multiple food and beverage outlets, an executive lounge, and a spacious ballroom suitable for conferences, weddings, and large events. The Jeddah property aims to cater to the city’s mix of leisure tourists, business travelers, and event organizers.

Simon Coombs, president and CEO of Shaza Hotels, emphasized the strategic importance of both locations: “We have identified Jeddah and Amman as key markets for Shaza and are proud to be part of these world-class developments. Alongside our award-winning properties, these hotels will strengthen our expanding regional network.”

Shaza Hotels currently has 11 properties either in operation or under development, with six additional projects in advanced discussions. The company’s growth plan targets operating 25 luxury hotels within the next five years, reinforcing its presence across the Middle East and enhancing its portfolio of upscale hospitality offerings.
