Ovolo’s flagship hotel in the heart of Hong Kong has reopened after an extensive renovation that refreshed its façade, entrances, public areas, guest rooms, suites and dining spaces. The revitalized Ovolo Central presents a contemporary design focused on light, ventilation and a bold personality that reflects the brand’s signature style.
The new façade is engineered to bring more natural daylight and improved airflow into the hotel’s interior spaces. The property now features four distinct entrances, redesigned lobby seating and a striking stainless-steel “egg wall” that adds texture and modern flair to the arrival experience. A redesigned first-floor meeting room opens onto a generous balcony that displays a thoughtfully curated art collection, creating an inviting setting for work and relaxation.
All 41 guestrooms have been reimagined with a rock-and-roll aesthetic, each accented by commissioned artwork that gives every room its own identity. The hotel has also introduced Platinum rooms, which showcase exposed windows, contemporary TV displays and distinctive drink cabinets. Standard guest amenities remain generous and include complimentary WiFi, happy hour drinks, in-room Nespresso machines, complimentary laundry, gym access and in-room Amazon Alexa for convenience and entertainment.
At the very top of the hotel, the Radio Suite occupies the entire top floor and delivers sweeping views across Hong Kong’s skyline, offering a dramatic and private retreat for guests who want more space and standout panoramas.
“Ovolo Central was my very first hotel, and what we’ve created here is a ‘New Sensation’ right in the epicenter of Hong Kong,” said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Ovolo Hotels Group. “This fresh look and energetic atmosphere are packed with Ovolo personality. Guests can expect cool art, original designs, great music and our new vegetarian restaurant VEDA — all in an unbeatable location.”
The hotel’s new dining offering, VEDA, is Hong Kong’s first dedicated vegetarian hotel restaurant, bringing plant-forward cuisine to guests and visitors in a stylish setting that complements the hotel’s contemporary design.
