Mandarin Oriental Tokyo Unveils Luxurious Premium Stay Offer

Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo introduced an exclusive luxury package, the Premium Kimono Stay, available through October 2017. The offer includes a made-to-order kimono crafted by a 460-year-old atelier renowned for kyoyuzen dyeing, a traditional Japanese technique that produces richly detailed, hand-painted textiles.

Designed to coincide with Tokyo Kimono Week—an annual celebration held in Nihonbashi, the historic center of Edo culture—the package reflects the spirit of this cultural festival and highlights traditional craftsmanship and style.

At the hotel, Mandarin Oriental will host its own kimono-focused program from October 23 to November 15. Activities include a kimono-themed dessert, a special afternoon tea, an Instagram photo contest, and an exhibition showcasing the artistry and heritage of the kimono.

The Premium Kimono Stay is offered as a comprehensive luxury experience. Priced at JPY 3.8 million (approximately $29,156 USD), the package covers a two-night stay for two guests and a full suite of kimono-related and wellness services for one guest. These services include a bespoke kimono with an authentic obi and accessories, a professional kimono consultation with dressing and styling, and a dedicated photo shoot with a photo album delivered after departure.

In addition to the kimono experience, the package contains several spa and dining components: a facial treatment, manicure and pedicure for one guest; daily breakfast for two at K’shiki or the Oriental Lounge; dinner for two at Sushi Sora; and dinner for two at the Tapas Molecular Bar. The combination of traditional culture, personalized service, and signature dining aims to provide a memorable Tokyo escape.

The offer is valid from October 23, 2016 through October 23, 2017, with bookings accepted until July 31, 2017.
