Exploring a vibrant, living coral reef is a diver’s dream, but reaching such sites often requires long travel and a significant budget.
For U.S. divers, exceptional reef diving is much closer: the Florida Reef. As the only living coral reef system in the continental United States and the third largest in the world, it lies just off the Florida Keys.
“Many people don’t realize we have such a beautiful, living reef in the continental United States,” said Jessica Pritt, manager of Dive Duck Key. “We offer outstanding coral reef diving that appeals to both beginners and experienced divers, and it’s right here in our backyard.”
Located on Duck Key, Hawks Cay provides convenient access to the Florida Reef, which stretches along the Keys from Key Largo to Key West.
