Newly Renovated Saratoga Springs Hotel: Luxury Rooms & Amenities

Known worldwide for horse racing and the famed Yaddo artists’ retreat, historic Saratoga Springs’ The Adelphi Hotel will reopen on July 1, just ahead of the racing season that begins July 21. This boutique property blends period charm with modern comforts, including a 1,200-square-foot glassed-in conservatory whose blue-accented decor echoes the sky above.Adelphi Hotel

Originally built in the late 1800s, The Adelphi has been thoughtfully reimagined while preserving its historic character. The hotel offers 32 elegantly appointed guestrooms, many featuring high 11-foot ceilings that enhance the sense of space and period detail. A sweeping grand staircase rises from the entrance lobby, reinforcing the property’s classic hotel feel.

The recent multimillion-dollar renovation added a new ballroom suited to events and gatherings, and introduced a distinctive new restaurant called The Blue Hen, a playful homage to a nearby historic tavern once known as The Blue Toed Hen. The hotel’s long-favored bar has been relaunched as Morrissey’s, honoring local figure John Morrissey and providing a convivial downtown spot for guests and visitors alike.

Located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, The Adelphi places guests within easy walking distance of the city’s historic sites, shops, and dining. The property also emphasizes outdoor living with beautifully landscaped gardens and thoughtfully designed exterior spaces that invite relaxation between races, strolls, and cultural outings.

Combining restored architectural features with contemporary updates and amenities, The Adelphi Hotel aims to offer a refined, intimate experience for both visitors and returning patrons. Its reopening in early July positions the hotel perfectly for the peak of Saratoga’s summer activity, providing an elegant base for race-goers, festival attendees, and travelers seeking a historic yet fresh hospitality experience.
