Air Serbia, the national carrier of the Republic of Serbia, will soon begin non-stop service between Belgrade and New York. The historic route launches in June and will link Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport directly with John F. Kennedy International Airport using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Prime Minister Vučić, speaking at the 38th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade—the largest annual tourism event in the Balkans—called the new connection a strong, positive symbol for Serbia. He highlighted that no other country in the region currently offers direct flights to the United States, which has generated considerable interest in Air Serbia’s new service. With ticket sales now open, the route represents a significant step for the country’s international connectivity.
Siniša Mali, chairman of Air Serbia and mayor of Belgrade, emphasized the route’s expected economic and tourism benefits. He said the New York service will attract thousands of business and leisure travelers from the United States and boost both Serbia and Belgrade. Mali noted that ticket sales mark an important milestone as the airline prepares to receive the A330 aircraft and to operate the inaugural flight in June.
The new Belgrade–New York service will operate five days a week, providing regular direct access between the two cities and strengthening transatlantic links for passengers and commerce alike.
