Massachusetts Gears Up for a Busy Pride Season Across the State

With spring approaching, communities across Massachusetts are preparing for a vibrant season of Pride celebrations.

On May 11, Boston Youth Pride offers a day-long festival honoring LGBTQ youth, concluding with the BAGLY Prom. The event provides a safe, celebratory space for young people to connect, perform, and express themselves.

Boston Pride Week runs May 31 through June 9 and features ten days of programming that builds to a lively parade. Highlights include a kickoff party, nightclub events, educational panels on human rights, and a block party—designed to engage residents and visitors with a mix of entertainment and civic conversation.

After a successful debut, North Shore Pride returns to Salem on June 9 for its second annual festival. The day includes performances from dancers, singers, and bands, culminating in a community parade that spotlights local organizations and LGBTQ culture.

In August, Provincetown hosts Family Pride Week from Aug. 3–10, welcoming LGBT parents, their children, extended family members, prospective parents, and friends for a week of family-focused activities and support. Later in the month, Provincetown’s long-running Carnival takes place Aug. 18–24. Celebrating its 35th year with the theme “Viva! Las Vegas,” Provincetown Carnival features costume contests, boat cruises, pool parties, and a traditional clambake.
