Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica Reopens After $X Million Renovation

Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica has unveiled a $16 million renovation that refreshed all 315 guestrooms and upgraded 15,000 square feet of meeting space. The project, which began in 2024, also introduced a new all-day restaurant and a range of enhanced amenities across the Santa Monica property.

The redesign by Waldrop + Nichols Studio emphasizes the hotel’s coastal setting, with a palette of ocean-inspired hues, natural materials and contemporary furnishings. The refreshed guestrooms balance modern comfort with California coastal character. Among the new accommodations are seven Sunset Suites, each featuring a private balcony with ocean views and a hot tub for a more intimate, elevated stay.

Meeting and event facilities received extensive updates to support a wide range of gatherings. The property now offers 11 flexible event spaces suited for everything from small meetings to large celebrations, with capacity for up to 400 attendees. A standout space is the 4,526-square-foot Delfina Ballroom, notable as Santa Monica’s only rooftop ballroom, which provides sweeping views and a distinctive setting for weddings, galas and corporate events. For more casual or interactive programs, Sandbox—a game room–style venue—includes games, a bar and optional theater seating ideal for team-building, networking or social events.

The hotel also opened Coastal Harvest Bar & Kitchen, an all-day dining venue presenting California-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant offers a menu focused on fresh, locally influenced ingredients alongside a curated beverage program that includes craft beer, signature cocktails and a selection of wines to suit both hotel guests and local diners.
