Oenophiles take note: tickets for Auction Napa Valley 2014 are now available. Act quickly—last year’s auction sold out in record time.
The annual charity wine event, hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners, runs this year from June 5–7. The weekend celebrates Napa’s vineyards, scenic vistas and exceptional wines. You can attend a single day or purchase the three-day Complete Auction Napa Valley Experience, which includes Saturday’s Live Auction Celebration.
Saturday’s Live Auction Celebration, the centerpiece of Auction Napa Valley, is held on the grounds of Meadowood Napa Valley. The day begins with a relaxed alfresco lunch prepared by many of Napa Valley’s top chefs, including Stephen Barber, Michael Chiarello, Curtis DeFede, Thomas Keller, Cindy Pawlcyn, Richard Reddington, Brandon Sharp, Hiro Sone, Jude Wilmoth, Tracy Wood Anderson, Chris Kollar and Wendy Sherwood. The afternoon’s highlight is the Live Auction, where bidders compete for extraordinary lots of Napa Valley wine and exclusive wine-related experiences. As evening falls, guests dine under the stars with a menu by acclaimed Chef Christopher Kostow of The Restaurant at Meadowood, followed by music and dancing.
Since its inception, the Napa Valley Vintners has directed more than $120 million from Auction Napa Valley to nonprofits in Napa County, making a measurable impact across the community. This support has helped ensure every child in Napa County has access to health insurance, enabled Community Health Clinic Ole to serve more than 30,000 residents each year, and contributed to closing the educational achievement gap in the county.
