JetBlue Reveals Bold New Livery and Brand Look

JetBlue has unveiled a new Brooklyn Nets–inspired livery for one of its aircraft. Nicknamed BK Blue, the jet was designed by a team of New Yorkers and Brooklynites and incorporates several visual elements that celebrate the borough.

The monochrome livery uses black and white throughout. The Brooklyn Nets logo appears on the tail, while the fuselage features silhouettes of the Brooklyn Bridge and Barclays Center. The phrase “Spread Love” is painted on the underbelly, creating a distinctive and cohesive tribute to Brooklyn culture and its sports community.

“For JetBlue, continuing our partnership with the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center was a slam dunk,” said Marty St. George, executive vice president commercial and planning at JetBlue. He noted that Brooklyn’s distinct personality and loyal fan base made the design a natural extension of the airline’s relationship with the borough. JetBlue also highlighted how its in-flight product offerings, including Fly-Fi, are part of the broader experience the airline brings both in the air and at Barclays Center.

Brett Yormark, CEO of BSE Global, commented on the expanded partnership, emphasizing the historical ties between JetBlue and Barclays Center. Since the arena opened in 2012, JetBlue has been an early partner, and the branded aircraft represents a new phase in their strategic alliance. Yormark described the fully branded jet as a fitting homage to Brooklyn and a way to reinforce the shared commitment to delivering a world-class experience to fans and customers.

The BK Blue livery serves as a visual celebration of Brooklyn’s landmarks and sports heritage while reinforcing the ongoing collaboration between JetBlue, the Brooklyn Nets, and Barclays Center. By combining iconic imagery with the airline’s signature service elements, the aircraft functions both as a flying brand statement and as a nod to the city it honors.

While the new design is reserved for a single aircraft, it underscores JetBlue’s broader approach to partnerships that reflect local culture and community ties. The choice of black-and-white styling aligns with the Nets’ brand identity and keeps the look bold yet elegant, making the plane easily recognizable on the tarmac and in flight.

JetBlue’s announcement highlights how airlines can use special liveries to deepen connections with partners and passengers, turning an aircraft into a moving billboard that celebrates regional pride. The BK Blue jet is intended to resonate with Brooklyn residents, Nets fans, and travelers who appreciate creative, place-based design that tells a story beyond standard airline branding.
