Author and documentary filmmaker Phil Cousineau will lead an 11-night journey through Ireland that blends history, mythology, art and spirituality. From Sept. 19–30, participants will explore Celtic folklore, Viking legends and religious mysticism while visiting iconic sites such as the Cliffs of Moher, the Pinnacle Holy Well, Yeats’ Tower, the Giant’s Causeway and Donegal Castle.
The itinerary features daily group discussions and traditional Irish entertainment, plus unique experiences like a pony-and-trap tour of the Aran Islands and a demonstration of Bodhrán drum-making. Optional evening pub outings are offered for those who want a livelier social scene. The program also includes a range of special guest speakers, among them Brendan Flynn and Padraigin Clancy, who will contribute insights into Ireland’s cultural and spiritual traditions.
Travelers can add a three-day Dublin extension to deepen their immersion in Ireland’s layered heritage. That extension highlights Viking influences and includes visits to Trinity College, the prehistoric Newgrange passage tomb, the Hill of Tara and an evening at the renowned Abbey Theatre. Throughout the trip, participants receive arrival and departure transfers, comfortable accommodations, daily breakfasts and several included meals (three lunches and dinners).
The tour package covers ferry transport to the Aran Islands, the services of experienced guides, entrance fees to sites listed on the itinerary, private luxury coach transportation and applicable hotel taxes and service charges. Pricing for the main land-only tour starts at $3,980 per person, with a single supplement of $715 for solo travelers who require a private room. This carefully curated journey is designed for travelers who want more than sightseeing—those seeking an evocative, reflective passage through Ireland’s landscapes, stories and cultural touchstones.
