Mandarin Oriental plans to open a new luxury hotel and branded residences in Mayfair, London, in 2021.
The Mandarin Oriental Mayfair will be a boutique hotel featuring 50 guestrooms and suites, with 80 private residences above. The property is designed to include a fine-dining restaurant, a lobby lounge, a bar and a roof terrace offering views across Mayfair.
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental are positioned as some of the city’s most exclusive private homes. Owners will have access to hotel-style amenities such as an indoor pool, a fully equipped fitness center, a spa and comprehensive services including room service, housekeeping, valet parking and concierge support.
“We are delighted to be opening a second Mandarin Oriental property in London, and look forward to extending the group’s legendary hospitality to another of the city’s most exclusive addresses,” said James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental. “Operating two complementary hotels in a single destination is something that the group has already done successfully in Hong Kong.”
The development site sits on Hanover Square, between Bond Street and Regent Street, at the heart of London’s premier residential, retail and fashion districts. The nearby Bond Street Crossrail station on Hanover Square is scheduled to open next year, improving rail links across the city and enabling journeys from Mayfair to London Heathrow Airport in around 30 minutes.
