Hanging Gardens of Bali, the renowned jungle resort celebrated for its rainforest setting and signature two-tiered infinity pool, has rebranded and reopened The Hidden Palace as a fully private standalone villa available for exclusive bookings.
“The Hidden Palace has always been the cornerstone of Hanging Gardens of Bali, but its transformation into a standalone expansive villa marks a new era of luxury,” said Niclas Prokop, general manager of Hanging Gardens of Bali. “The renovated five-bedroom villa represents our ongoing commitment to elevating the guest experience, combining unparalleled privacy, masterful craftsmanship, and a deep connection to Bali’s natural and cultural heritage.”
Constructed over six years by 600 local artisans, The Hidden Palace was reimagined using locally sourced materials and custom-designed details throughout. From carved wardrobe handles crafted in Jogja to leaf-shaped curtain hooks, every element reflects Balinese artistry. Set inside the rainforest and reached via a private funicular from the main lobby, the villa welcomes guests through a hand-carved teak door from Jepara into a Joglo-style reception hall complete with a private bar and wine cellar.

Spanning 2,000 square meters, The Hidden Palace is a five-bedroom residence that includes the Emperor Suite, Presidential Suite, Majestic Suite, and two Garden Suites. Each room seamlessly blends traditional Balinese craftsmanship with modern comforts and technologies to create an immersive indoor-outdoor living experience. The Emperor Suite, the largest, features the world’s largest authentic Balinese roof constructed without cross beams, indoor and outdoor waterfall showers, a Jacuzzi, and a curated collection of vintage photographs of Bali from the 1920s and 1930s.
The villa’s centerpiece is an Olympic-sized, 360-degree infinity pool with a floating pavilion. The pool operates with an eco-friendly filtration system that avoids chlorine to protect the surrounding ecosystem. Water and wastewater systems are supported by the resort’s private water plant and natural sewage treatment facilities, maintaining sustainability alongside luxury.
Staying at The Hidden Palace includes all-inclusive services such as a 24-hour butler, a private chef, and premium transportation, ensuring a fully curated and private stay for guests seeking exclusive getaways, intimate weddings, or high-profile events.
