Air France and Saudia Expand Codeshare Partnership for More Routes

Air France and Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) have expanded their codeshare partnership to cover additional domestic routes within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and more services across Europe. This extension builds on a cooperation that began in 2010 and previously linked Paris with Riyadh and Jeddah.

Under the new arrangement, Saudia will place its marketing code on select Air France-operated flights departing Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to several European destinations: Copenhagen (CPH), Dublin (DUB), Munich (MUC), Nice (NCE) and Zurich (ZRH). These additions offer Saudia passengers greater connectivity from the Middle East to major European cities through a single booking.

Conversely, Air France will add its code to a set of Saudia-operated domestic flights within Saudi Arabia, improving access for travelers connecting through Air France’s network. The Saudia services included are flights from Riyadh (RUH) to Abha (AHB), Dammam (DMM), Gizan (GIZ), Ha’il (HAS) and Jeddah (JED). This reciprocal coding allows customers of both carriers to combine itineraries more easily and benefit from through-ticketing and coordinated schedules.

The expanded codeshare is intended to simplify travel planning and provide smoother connections for passengers traveling between Europe and Saudi Arabia, as well as for those making domestic trips within the Kingdom. By sharing codes on these routes, the two airlines can offer a broader choice of flight times and destinations while maintaining their respective onboard services and operational control of the flights.

Passengers booking through either carrier should verify baggage rules, check-in procedures and any visa or entry requirements that may apply when combining flights across airlines. As always, travelers are advised to confirm schedule and fare details at the time of booking, since codeshare participation and flight timings can change.
