Spirit Airlines Flight Schedule Updates: New Routes and Changes

Spirit has launched nonstop daily flights from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to four major East Coast and Florida hubs: Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO) and Newark (EWR). Each of these year-round routes expands Spirit’s presence in the Carolinas and adds convenient options for both leisure and business travelers.

Charlotte becomes Spirit’s fourth destination in North Carolina, joining Asheville (AVL), Piedmont Triad (GSO) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU). The new services increase connectivity to and from the state, supporting tourism growth and business travel. In addition to improved travel options, the expansion is expected to create hundreds of jobs across North Carolina as airline operations, airport services and related industries scale up. With these additions, travelers across the state will have more than 15 daily departures to choose from, a number that is likely to rise through the summer travel season.

On the West Coast, Spirit is adding nonstop flights to Burbank (BUR) and Sacramento (SMF). These cities will gain frequent connections through nonstop service to and from Las Vegas (LAS), operating three times daily, which enhances travel flexibility for both leisure and connecting passengers.

Spirit is also extending its network in the Southeast: starting Oct. 10, the carrier will begin daily service to and from Nashville (BNA). The new schedule includes daily flights linking Nashville with six destinations, offering more options for travelers to access Tennessee’s capital.

Overall, these route additions reflect Spirit’s ongoing network growth aimed at providing low-cost, nonstop travel across key U.S. markets. Passengers can expect more choices and increased frequency on popular city pairs, while local economies benefit from expanded air service and the employment opportunities that follow.
