Turkish Airlines Unveils New Premium Business-Class Seat

Turkish Airlines is upgrading its business class with the new MiQ seat from Rockwell Collins. The airline will install these seats on its Airbus A321neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, bringing enhanced comfort and modern features to its medium-haul fleet.

The MiQ seat offers an ergonomic reclining position designed for comfort on longer flights. Key features include a four-way adjustable headrest and leg rest to support different seating and rest positions, as well as a generous console for personal storage. Aisle seats include a retractable armrest that can fold down to provide extra width and allow passengers to swing their knees into the aisle, making it easier for window-seat passengers to enter and exit the row.

In addition to improved ergonomics, the MiQ seat incorporates modern inflight amenities. Each seat is equipped with a seat-back inflight entertainment screen, retractable privacy panels for added discretion, accessible personal stowage, and dedicated power outlets to keep devices charged during the flight. These features reflect a focus on both comfort and functionality for business class travelers.

“We are very excited to introduce our latest business class seats in our new generation 167 narrow body aircraft,” said Ahmet Olmuştur, chief marketing officer at Turkish Airlines. He emphasized that the airline is focused on elevating passenger comfort and aligning cabin design with customer expectations.

By adding the MiQ seats to its medium-haul fleet, Turkish Airlines aims to raise the standard of its onboard experience. The combination of ergonomic seating, practical storage, personal entertainment, and power access addresses the needs of modern travelers who expect both convenience and comfort. The retractable privacy panels and adaptable armrests further enhance the sense of personal space, while the thoughtful storage solutions help keep cabins organized and passenger belongings within reach.

The rollout on A321neo and 737 MAX aircraft will allow Turkish Airlines to offer a consistent business class experience across a significant portion of its narrow-body fleet. This standardization benefits passengers who frequently travel on medium-haul routes by delivering familiar, reliable seating and onboard amenities.

Turkish Airlines continues to prioritize cabin and seat design improvements as part of its broader strategy to meet evolving customer expectations. With the MiQ seat, the airline is investing in features that support productivity, relaxation, and a more comfortable travel experience for business class customers.
