Royal Caribbean Unveils 2020–2021 Cruise Routes and Schedules

Royal Caribbean has announced additional itineraries for the 2020–21 winter season, expanding Caribbean sailings from ports in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

Adventure of the Seas will relocate to Galveston, Texas, in 2020, becoming the largest ship offering short getaways from that port. Its winter schedule includes four- and five-night cruises calling on Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. Liberty of the Seas will continue year-round sailings from Galveston with seven-night Caribbean cruises.

Enchantment of the Seas will shift from Galveston to San Juan, Puerto Rico. From San Juan she will operate seven-night Southern Caribbean itineraries that include stops such as Barbados and Dominica. San Juan will remain the year-round homeport for Freedom of the Seas, which is set to receive refurbishments in March 2020.

After scheduled renovations, Explorer of the Seas will resume sailings from Miami, offering routes that visit Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, Haiti and the Bahamas. Independence of the Seas will return to Fort Lauderdale in 2020 with departures to the Western Caribbean and Nassau. Joining her will be Vision of the Seas, which will operate cruises to destinations including St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Antigua, St. Maarten and Aruba.

Finally, Rhapsody of the Seas is scheduled to return to Tampa in 2020 with new 11-night itineraries that transit the Panama Canal and call at Colón, as well as shorter cruises to Grand Cayman, Belize and Mexico.

These additions broaden Royal Caribbean’s seasonal offering across multiple homeports, providing a mix of short escapes and longer Caribbean and Panama Canal voyages for winter travelers.
