Delta Air Lines is adding new daily service between Boston (BOS) and Charleston (CHS), effective June 8, and will begin seasonal Saturday service from Boston to Aruba (AUA) starting June 9.
“This summer, Delta will proudly offer Bostonians more options with 113 daily departures to 44 top business and leisure destinations,” said Joe Esposito, vice president of network planning, Americas, at Delta Air Lines. “Our teams have worked hard over the past two years to provide Boston customers with the global airline they deserve, and we look forward to continuing these expansions and enhancements in 2018 and beyond.”
“Delta continues to be a great partner at Logan International Airport and has experienced significant growth over the last decade,” said Thomas P. Glynn, CEO of Massport. “Millions travel through Logan each year, many on Delta flights, and we look forward to offering more choices for our passengers.”
The new Boston–Charleston round-trip is operated on a CRJ-900 aircraft, featuring 12 first-class seats, 20 Delta Comfort+ seats and 44 economy seats in a two-by-two configuration. The flight offers in-flight Wi-Fi and complimentary entertainment. Departures from Boston are scheduled at 10:40 a.m., arriving in Charleston at 1:05 p.m. The return departs Charleston at 1:35 p.m., arriving in Boston at 3:55 p.m.
Beginning June 8, Delta will also increase frequencies from Boston to several markets: Jacksonville (JAX), Kansas City (MCI), Nashville (BNA) and Pittsburgh (PIT). New daily departures from Boston are scheduled at 3:40 p.m. to Jacksonville, 6:05 p.m. to Kansas City, 7:00 p.m. to Nashville, and 12:50 p.m. to Pittsburgh.
In addition, Delta has expanded first-class service on its existing route between Boston and Buffalo, N.Y., meaning that all Delta flights out of Boston will now include first-class seating.
