As more destinations reopen, travelers are beginning to return to the experiences we all missed. Over the coming weeks, join us on a visual tour as we say #WelcomeBacktoTravel. First stop: the charming city of Savannah, Georgia.
Forsyth Park, named for Georgia’s 33rd governor, covers 30 acres in Savannah’s historic district. Its iconic fountain at the park’s north end is one of the most photographed spots in the city.
The riverfront along the Savannah River is a lively area where former cotton warehouses now house shops, galleries, restaurants and hotels, blending history with modern attractions.
River Street is known for vibrant nightlife: frozen-drink bars, mechanical-bull venues, dueling pianos and rooftop spots ensure there’s entertainment for every taste.
Downtown Savannah, the nation’s largest National Historic Landmark District, features historic architecture, cobblestone streets, formal gardens and peaceful squares alongside theaters and dining.
Walk the riverfront promenade to enjoy views of the water and historic buildings. The area hosts numerous monthly and annual events that bring locals and visitors together.
The “Cracked Earth” installation—a globe split in two—honors Chatham County veterans of World War II and reflects the historical importance of the waterfront during the war.
