Air Canada Launches New Service to Austin, Texas

Air Canada is expanding its U.S. network with a new nonstop service to Austin, Texas. Daily Air Canada Express flights will operate between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Jazz Aviation LP will operate the route using 75-seat Bombardier CRJ-705 aircraft configured with both a premium cabin and economy seating to offer a comfortable travel experience for business and leisure passengers.

“We are pleased to add Austin to our global network as we continue to introduce routes based on traveler demand,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines, Air Canada. “These Austin flights are timed to connect conveniently within our Toronto hub, giving customers smooth connections across our expansive North and South American and European networks.”

The Austin launch is part of a broader expansion this year. Air Canada has already introduced several new routes, such as Montréal (YUL)–Venice (VCE), Vancouver (YVR)–Osaka (ITM), Vancouver–Comox (YQQ), Calgary (YYC)–Halifax (YHZ) and Calgary–Nanaimo (YCD). Additional routes planned to start soon include Toronto–Dubai (DXB), Toronto–Delhi (DEL), Toronto–Amsterdam (AMS), Toronto–Atlantic City (ACY), Toronto–Abbotsford (YXX), Montréal–Mexico City (MEX) and Calgary–Terrace (YXT).

These network additions reinforce Air Canada’s strategy of expanding direct connectivity between major markets and regional destinations. By increasing frequency and introducing nonstop options, the airline aims to reduce travel times and improve transfer convenience for travellers connecting through its Toronto global hub.

Passengers on the Toronto–Austin service can expect the standard Air Canada experience, including the choice of premium seating for added comfort and economy seating for value. Operating the route with CRJ-705 equipment allows the airline to match capacity to demand while maintaining competitive schedule flexibility on regional and transborder sectors.

As the airline rolls out new services, travellers will benefit from more destination choices and improved access to Air Canada’s broader route map, including onward connections across the Americas and Europe. The Toronto hub remains a key element of that network, enabling single-ticket travel and coordinated connections under one roof to simplify itineraries and baggage transfers.
