Chocolate Salon — Gourmet Chocolate Tasting & Workshop

The third annual Salon du Chocolat returns to Zürich from April 4–6, bringing an irresistible celebration of chocolate to the city. This event gathers pastry chefs, chocolatiers and chocolate experts from across Switzerland and France for three days of hands-on workshops, live pastry demonstrations, seminars and curated exhibitions focused on the art and craft of chocolate-making.

Highlights include children’s workshops where young participants can learn basic techniques, pastry-making sessions for amateur and seasoned bakers, and live demonstrations showcasing creative chocolate recipes. Chocosphere: Conferences and Tastings offers master classes pairing wine and chocolate, discussions on sustainable cocoa production, and presentations about innovations shaping the chocolate industry.

A daily chocolate fashion show takes place at 5 p.m., featuring edible gowns designed and assembled by teams of chocolatiers working alongside French and Swiss fashion designers. Collaborations this year include Favarger & Victoria von Fliedner with Christine Carrupt, Confiserie Sprüngli with Balseca Weber, and Villars Maître Chocolatier with the Ecole de Couture de Fribourg. These presentations highlight both artistic craftsmanship and the versatility of chocolate as a medium.

The Salon is hosted in Hall 3 at Messe Zürich, a central event space in the city, making it easily accessible for locals and visitors alike. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere, opportunities to taste a wide variety of chocolate products, and chances to speak directly with makers and industry professionals.

Whether you are a chocolate enthusiast, a professional in the culinary arts, or looking for a family-friendly activity, the Salon du Chocolat offers informative sessions and immersive experiences that appeal to all ages. The combination of educational content, tastings, and artistic showcases creates a comprehensive program that celebrates chocolate’s cultural and gastronomic significance.
