Many people begin their day with a cup or two of coffee, while serious aficionados seek out the finest beans. The Ranch in Malibu, California—a renowned health and wellness destination known for its results-oriented fitness programs—chose to upgrade its beverage offerings for 2024. Guests at the sister property opening this spring in Hudson Valley, New York, will also enjoy this new perk.

Whereas past visitors to The Ranch Malibu often forwent coffee during their restorative stays, guests can now start their mornings with an exclusive blend created for the property. The Ranch Roast, developed with SACACLI—a Fairtrade-, Regenerative Organic- and Organic-certified cooperative in Nicaragua—is a light roast that provides a caffeine lift along with antioxidant-rich, mold-free benefits. The cooperative’s dedication to environmental conservation, soil health and community welfare assures guests that their cup supports sustainable farming. For those who prefer tea, The Ranch also offers a selection of caffeinated and decaffeinated options.
Colon hydrotherapy (colonics), a newly available elective at The Ranch Malibu and offered at the Hudson Valley retreat, supports detoxification and digestive health. This gentle therapy is appropriate for many ages and fitness levels. It uses a careful infusion of water into the colon to help clear accumulated waste, gas, mucus, undigested foods and other residues. Holistic nutritionist Fatima Rivas develops individualized treatment plans that combine organ detoxification, pressure-point techniques, calming breathwork, sound healing, aromatherapy and acupressure on the feet.

Rivas says guests typically notice a “sense of inner lightness, improved sleep, heightened energy, glowing skin and an increase in performance” after a session. Those who schedule multiple treatments during their stay may experience broader improvements in digestion, immune function and overall well-being.
Another notable update is the recognition of The Ranch’s on-site CCOF-certified organic garden as Regenerative Organic Certified by the Regenerative Organic Alliance. To earn this designation, the farm completed extensive soil testing and a detailed audit of practices throughout 2023 to meet the three core pillars of the Regenerative Organic Alliance: building and maintaining healthy soil through advanced agricultural techniques, ensuring ethical and humane treatment of animals, and upholding fairness for farmers and workers.
These 2024 enhancements build on program changes introduced in late 2023, such as a more flexible hiking schedule that lets guests choose between two- or four-hour morning hikes. An Energy Healing service, launched in late 2023, has quickly become one of the most requested offerings. Guests report benefits including emotional and physical shifts, improved balance, harmonized energy flow, reduced stress and a deeper connection with themselves.
