Cruise travelers hoping to witness the Aurora Borealis’ shifting, multicolored displays can join select Hurtigruten sailings through Norway’s dramatic fjords with Kerss on board. During daytime port calls, passengers will explore coastal towns and benefit from Kerss’ expertise via workshops, webinars and digital talks designed to deepen their understanding of the Aurora and the Arctic environment.

Because the Aurora can be unpredictable, Hurtigruten backs many departures with a Northern Lights Promise on select 11-day (or longer) Coastal Voyages departing between September and March through March 31, 2026. If the lights fail to appear within sight of the ship, guests may be eligible for a complimentary six-day southbound or seven-day northbound Original Coastal Express Classic Voyage (terms and eligible dates vary by departure).
