COMO Bali Resort Reveals Year-Long Dining and Culinary Journey

COMO Uma Canggu in Bali has launched COMO Culinary Odyssey, a year-long culinary program celebrating the island’s diverse food heritage. Each month focuses on a different Balinese region, giving guests the chance to explore local flavors, techniques and ingredients through specially curated menus.

The journey opens with Bangli, the hometown of the resort’s executive chef, Kadek Sugiantara.

“Bangli holds a special place in my heart as it’s where I grew up,” said Sugiantara. “This menu lets me share the tastes of my childhood and the vibrant culinary traditions of my hometown, giving guests an authentic experience of Bali’s heritage.”

The Bangli menu features dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients and traditional methods. Highlights include a savory fish dish seasoned with classic Balinese spices and a dessert combining crispy sweet potato, steamed cassava and rich coconut sauce. This signature menu will be available through March 31.

Henry Scott, general manager of COMO Uma Canggu, commented, “COMO Culinary Odyssey is a wonderful way to showcase Bangli’s culinary and cultural richness. It offers guests an immersive dining experience that captures the spirit of Bali.”

After Bangli, the program will spotlight five more regions across the remainder of the year: Gianyar in April and May, Buleleng in June and July, Karangasem in August and September, Jembrana in October and November, and Klungkung during December and the holiday season. Each region will inspire distinct menus and events that reflect local ingredients and culinary customs.
